About Random Number Generator
This random number generator picks whole numbers between a minimum and a maximum that you choose. Ask for a single number or up to 1,000 at once, and switch on No duplicates when every result must be different, as in a lottery-style draw. If you enter the range backwards, the tool simply swaps the two values.
Numbers come from your browser's cryptographic random generator, and the range is sampled without modulo bias, so every value has the same chance. Everything happens on your device and nothing is uploaded. For a good result, remember that the minimum and maximum are both included, and that unique draws cannot ask for more numbers than the range holds.

Frequently asked questions
Is this random number generator truly random?
It uses your browser's cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues) with no modulo bias, which is suitable for draws and games. It is not a certified lottery device, so do not rely on it where law requires one.
Are the minimum and maximum included in the results?
Yes. Both ends of the range can be returned. For example, a range of 1 to 6 can give 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, like a standard die. Decimal limits are rounded inward to whole numbers.
How do I generate numbers without repeats?
Tick the No duplicates box before pressing Generate. Each number then appears at most once. The tool shows an error if you ask for more unique numbers than the range contains, such as 10 unique numbers from 1 to 5.
How many numbers can I generate at once?
You can generate between 1 and 1,000 numbers per click. A single result is shown in large type, and longer lists are shown in full in the All results box where you can copy them.
Can I use negative numbers or a large range?
Yes. Negative minimums work, for example from -50 to 50. With duplicates allowed, large ranges are fine; unique draws are intended for ranges up to about one million values.
Is the number I generate saved or sent anywhere?
No. The generator runs entirely in your browser, so your range and results are not uploaded to i40x. Results disappear when you close or refresh the page, so copy anything you need to keep.
