The most requested tool is here. PDF to Word converts a PDF into a DOCX file you can open in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice, and it is built to give you something you can edit, not a page of floating text boxes.
What you get
- Real paragraphs. Lines that wrap in the PDF are joined back into paragraphs, and hyphenated words are repaired.
- Headings and bullet lists. Larger text is detected from the font size and becomes Heading 1, 2 or 3; bullets stay as lists.
- Tables. Figures laid out in aligned columns become real Word tables.
- Arabic. Arabic paragraphs are set right to left, so they behave correctly when you edit them.
- Scans. If the PDF has no selectable text, it is read with OCR first, in English, Arabic or both.
Two ways to convert
| Mode | Best for | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Editable text | Contracts, reports, CVs and anything you want to change | Images and exact positions are not reproduced |
| Keep layout | Pages where the position of every element matters, or that contain images | Every piece of text sits in its own text box, so it is harder to edit |
How to use it
- Open PDF to Word and drop your PDF in.
- Choose Editable text or Keep layout. For a scan, pick the language of the text.
- Press Process and download the Word file.

Good to know
- Check mixed lines. A line that mixes Arabic and English can come out in a slightly different order. Give those a quick look.
- Proofread scans. No text recognition is perfect, so check names and numbers.
- Password-protected PDFs cannot be read. Remove the password first with Unlock PDF, then convert.
- Limits. Guests can convert files up to 10 MB; a free account raises that to 50 MB. Your file is deleted automatically after about 30 minutes, and there is no watermark.
