About End of Service Calculator

This end of service calculator estimates the gratuity (mukafaat nihayat al-khidma) for employees in Saudi Arabia or the UAE. Choose the country, enter your last monthly wage, the start and end dates, and for Saudi Arabia whether the contract ends or you resign. It shows your length of service in years and months and the estimated gratuity.

Service length is counted in whole years from your start date plus the fraction of the current year, so part-years count in proportion. This is an estimate based on the general rules (Saudi Labor Law articles 84 and 85, UAE Federal Decree-Law 33 of 2021). Contracts, unpaid leave, special cases and later amendments can change the result. Confirm the figure with your employer or the labour authority. Nothing you enter is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

How is end of service calculated in Saudi Arabia?

For the first five years, half a month's wage per year. After five years, a full month's wage per year. Part-years count proportionally. The wage used is the last wage including basic pay and allowances. This is the rule when the contract ends or the employer ends it.

What if I resign in Saudi Arabia?

The calculator applies the resignation rule: nothing under 2 years of service, one third of the gratuity from 2 to under 5 years, two thirds from 5 to under 10 years, and the full amount from 10 years. Check your own case with the labour authority.

How is gratuity calculated in the UAE?

For the first five years, 21 days of basic salary per year, and 30 days per year after five. A day is basic salary divided by 30. Nothing is due under one year of service, and the total is capped at 24 months of basic salary.

Does the UAE result depend on resignation or termination?

In this tool, no. The reason selector is hidden for the UAE and the same formula is applied. Real entitlement can depend on the reason and the contract, so confirm with your employer or the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

Which salary should I enter?

For Saudi Arabia, the last monthly wage including basic salary and allowances. For the UAE, the last monthly basic salary only. Use the figure from your contract or payslip, not a gross package total.

Is the result an official amount?

No. It is an estimate from the general rules. Contracts, unpaid leave, special cases and later amendments can change the result, so confirm with your employer or the labour authority.

Are my salary and dates stored?

No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded or saved on our server, so your wage and dates stay on your device.
