About Image Converter
The image converter changes pictures between formats directly in your browser. Choose JPG, PNG or WebP as the output, plus AVIF if your browser can encode it. It reads JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, SVG and AVIF files, and iPhone HEIC photos where your browser can open them, which is mainly Safari.
Pick a quality for JPG, WebP and AVIF; PNG is lossless and has no quality setting. Because JPG has no transparency, transparent areas are filled with a background color you choose, white by default. PNG and WebP keep transparency. Convert up to 40 files at once, then download them one by one or as a ZIP. Nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert a WebP image to JPG?
Drop the WebP file, choose JPG under Convert to, set the quality and click Convert. Download the result. If the image has transparency, pick the background color that will replace it.
What happens to transparency when I convert?
PNG and WebP keep transparent areas. JPG cannot store transparency, so those areas are filled with the background color you choose, which is white by default.
Why is AVIF missing from the format list?
AVIF is only offered when your browser can encode it, and support differs between browsers. If you do not see AVIF, try a different browser or choose WebP, which is widely supported.
Can I convert HEIC photos from my iPhone?
Only where your browser can open HEIC files, which is mainly Safari on Apple devices. If the file cannot be read you will see an error. Other browsers may not decode HEIC at all.
Does converting an animated GIF keep the animation?
No. The result is a single still image, not an animation. Convert GIF, BMP or SVG files if you need one frame in JPG, PNG or WebP.
Are my files uploaded during conversion?
No. The conversion runs in your browser on your device, and your images are never sent to a server. You can convert up to 40 files in one batch.
