About Crop & Rotate Image
This tool lets you crop an image online by dragging a frame over the picture and resizing it from the corners or edges. Pick a fixed aspect ratio such as 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, 9:16, 4:5 or the 35 by 45 mm passport ratio, or leave it free. You can also rotate by 90 degrees and flip horizontally or vertically before cropping.
The pixel size of your selection is shown while you drag. The crop is cut from the original full-resolution image, not from the smaller preview, so the result stays sharp. Choose JPG, PNG or WebP for the output. Everything happens in your browser and the picture is never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
How do I crop a photo to a square?
Open the image, choose the 1:1 aspect ratio, then drag the frame to the part you want to keep. Click Crop and download. The selection keeps its square shape while you move or resize it.
Does cropping reduce the quality of my image?
No extra quality is lost by the crop itself. The area is taken from the original full-resolution image. Saving as JPG or WebP still applies compression, which you control with the quality slider.
Can I crop a passport photo size?
Choose the 35 by 45 mm ratio and frame the face. If you need exact pixel dimensions or a specific file size afterwards, run the result through the image resizer or compressor.
Can I rotate or flip the image too?
Yes. Use the buttons to rotate left or right in 90 degree steps and to flip horizontally or vertically. The crop frame resets after each change, so adjust it last. Reset returns the original orientation.
Which formats can I save the cropped image in?
You can keep the original format or save as JPG, PNG or WebP. PNG and WebP keep transparency, while JPG fills transparent areas with white because it does not support transparency.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. Cropping, rotating and saving all run in your browser on your own device. The image never leaves it, so you can safely crop private photos and documents.
