About PNG to JPG Converter
Use this PNG to JPG converter when a PNG is heavier than it needs to be, or when a form, email or app only accepts JPG. Drop one file or many, pick the quality and convert. Each JPG keeps the pixel size of the original and the same file name with a .jpg extension, so it is easy to match them up.
JPG cannot store transparency, so every transparent area of the PNG is filled with the background colour you pick, white by default. Choose a colour that matches the page where the image will be used. Quality runs from 40 to 100 and starts at 92; lower values give smaller files. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert PNG to JPG?
Drop your PNG files on the page, keep the quality at 92 or change it, choose a background colour if your images have transparency, and press Convert. Download each JPG or all of them together as a ZIP.
What happens to the transparent background of my PNG?
JPG has no transparency, so transparent pixels become the background colour you choose. It is white by default. Pick a colour that matches where you will use the picture, such as the page colour of a website.
Will the JPG be smaller than the PNG?
Often, especially for photos and screenshots with many colours. Flat graphics with few colours and sharp edges can sometimes stay about the same size. The result list shows the size before and after for every file.
Which quality setting should I use?
The default of 92 keeps photos looking close to the original. Lower it toward 70 or 80 for smaller files, and check the result. Text and sharp edges show compression artefacts sooner than photos do.
How many PNG files can I convert at once?
Up to 40 files in one batch, each up to 60 MB and 64 megapixels. When two or more files are converted you can download them all as one ZIP file instead of one by one.
Are my PNG files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs in your browser on your own device, and the images are never sent to a server. i40x does not need an account for this tool, and it adds no watermark.
