About Image Resizer
The image resizer changes the dimensions of JPG, PNG and WebP pictures in your browser. Resize by exact width and height in pixels, by a percentage from 1 to 400, or pick a preset such as Instagram post, Story, YouTube thumbnail, Facebook cover, LinkedIn banner, Open Graph image or a 2 by 2 inch passport photo.
Choose how the picture fits the new size: keep proportions, fill the frame and crop the edges, fit inside and add a background color, or stretch to the exact size. Enter only a width or a height to keep the proportions automatically. Up to 40 images are processed at once and nothing is uploaded. The longest side is limited to 16384 pixels.

Frequently asked questions
How do I resize an image without stretching it?
Choose Custom size and enter only a width or a height, or pick Keep proportions. The other side is calculated automatically. For an exact size without distortion use Fill the frame, which crops the edges.
What is the difference between Fill the frame and Fit inside?
Fill the frame covers the whole target size and crops what does not fit, from the center. Fit inside and add background color keeps the entire picture and fills the empty space with the color you choose.
Which size should I use for Instagram or YouTube?
Pick the matching preset, for example Instagram post 1080 by 1080, Story 1080 by 1920 or YouTube thumbnail 1280 by 720. The preset sets the pixel size and crops from the center, so check the framing.
Does resizing reduce the quality of my image?
Making a picture smaller loses detail you cannot get back, and enlarging it cannot add detail that was never there. For JPG and WebP you can also set the output quality slider, 90 by default.
Can I resize many images at once?
Yes. Add up to 40 images and apply the same size or percentage to all of them, then download each file or a single ZIP. File names include the new dimensions, such as photo-800x600.
Are my pictures uploaded when I resize them?
No. The resizing happens in your browser, and your images are never sent to a server. This keeps personal photos private and means there is no waiting for an upload.
