About Arabic Numerals Converter

This Arabic numerals converter changes the digits inside any text between three sets: Western digits (0 1 2 3), Arabic-Indian digits (٠ ١ ٢ ٣) and Persian or Urdu digits (۰ ۱ ۲ ۳). Paste text that contains numbers, choose the target set, and every digit from any of the three sets is converted. Letters and words are left exactly as written, so mixed Arabic and English text is safe.

A tick box also converts the separators. When converting to Western digits, the Arabic decimal mark and thousands mark become a full stop and a comma. When converting to Arabic-Indian or Persian digits, a full stop or comma between two digits becomes the Arabic decimal or thousands mark. The tool works on digits only; it does not spell numbers out. Processing happens in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert Arabic numbers to English numbers?

Paste the text, choose Western digits (0 1 2 3) as the target, and every Arabic-Indian or Persian digit is replaced by its Western equivalent. Words and letters in the text are not changed.

How do I convert English numbers to Arabic digits?

Paste the text and choose Arabic-Indian digits (٠ ١ ٢ ٣). Each Western digit is replaced with the matching Arabic-Indian one. Choose Persian digits instead if you need the ۰ ۱ ۲ ۳ shapes.

What is the difference between Arabic-Indian and Persian digits?

They share the same values, but a few shapes differ: Persian and Urdu write 4, 5 and 6 as ۴ ۵ ۶, while Arabic-Indian uses ٤ ٥ ٦. Pick the set that matches the language you write in.

Does it handle decimals and thousands separators?

Yes, when the separator option is on. Converting to Western digits turns the Arabic decimal and thousands marks into a full stop and comma, and the reverse conversion changes separators between digits only.

Does it change letters, dates or whole numbers into words?

No. It only swaps digit characters and optional separators. Dates keep their format, and the tool does not write numbers out in words or convert between calendars.

Is my text uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in your browser, so the text you paste is not uploaded or stored by i40x. It is free, has no limit and needs no account.
