This free PDF to Markdown converter turns a PDF into clean, structured text that AI tools read well. Headings are detected from the font size, bullet and numbered lists become Markdown lists, and lines broken by the page width are joined back into paragraphs. Repeated page headers, footers and page numbers are removed, so the AI sees your content, not the layout.
You see roughly how many tokens the result uses, can add page markers so the AI can cite pages, and can split long documents into chunks that fit a chat window. The PDF is read in your browser with the same engine Firefox uses and is never uploaded. Scanned PDFs are read with OCR on our server when you choose to, then converted the same way.

No. The PDF is read in your browser and never sent to our server. Files up to 20 MB.
Does it handle Arabic?
Yes. Arabic text keeps its right-to-left order, and headings and lists are detected as in English. How clean the result is depends on how the PDF was made; for the cleanest Arabic Markdown, convert the original Word file with Word to Markdown.
