About Split PDF

Split PDF by page ranges or by a fixed number of pages. In ranges mode each comma-separated part becomes its own file, so 1-3,4-6 creates two PDFs and 5-z means page 5 to the last page. In every N pages mode the document is cut into equal parts, with a shorter final part if pages are left over.

When the result has more than one file you receive them together in a ZIP, named after your original with part1, part2 and so on. A single job can produce up to 200 files. The original PDF is not modified. Files are processed on our server and deleted automatically after 30 minutes, with no watermark.

Frequently asked questions

How do I split a PDF into separate pages?

Choose the Every N pages mode and set pages per file to 1. You will receive one PDF for each page, packed together in a ZIP file that you can download.

How do I write page ranges to split a PDF?

Separate ranges with commas: 1-3,4-6 gives two files, and 2,5 gives two single-page files. Use z for the last page, for example 5-z. Each comma-separated part makes one output file.

What do I get after splitting?

If the split creates several files, they are delivered in one ZIP; each file is named after your PDF followed by part1, part2 and so on. A split with only one result is delivered as a single PDF.

Is there a limit to how many parts I can create?

A single job can create at most 200 files. File size limits also apply: guests can upload up to 10 MB, free members up to 50 MB, and the daily job limits are 15 and 150 respectively.

Will splitting reduce the quality of my PDF?

No. Pages are copied without re-rendering, so text, images and layout in each part stay as in the original. The original file you uploaded is not changed.

Are my files stored after splitting?

They are uploaded to our server for processing and deleted automatically after 30 minutes. No account is needed and nothing is watermarked. Do not upload files that you are not permitted to share.
